A significant part of my leadership journey has been shaped through serving with The Navigators in Africa since 2004. Over the years, I have been entrusted with opportunities to lead, develop, mentor and coach people from diverse cultural backgrounds, and in different ministry contexts across Africa and globally within our worldwide partnership.
Through this journey, I have come to embrace a powerful conviction which is at the heart of C4L Coaching:
That people grow when they are deeply listened to, thoughtfully challenged, and given space to discover rather than simply being given answers.
Not evey conversation is a coaching conversation, and not every leader needs to become a professional coach. However, great leaders, learn to recognice when a coaching approach may be the most effective way to help a person think, grow and move forward.
